Lonely Ghost

I woke up sweating, as though death was gripping me. Even in my dreams, it chased me. I'm barely sleeping. I'm being hunted, day and night. Until dawn breathes its light, my sleep is policed by nightmares, and I have no rest. I need someone to talk to; listen to me with a keen ear. Someone to listen to my side of the story. 

Can you be the ear that I can trust? Be my jury, sit down on my case, investigate my intentions, determine my fate because I'm drowning in my thoughts. Let my case be an open book to you, and you'll know from a distance that I'm thinking. Pause! Thinking about what? Hey, hear what my lover thinks of me, how my heart was captivated by my lover. This is an indescribable feeling I have never felt before.

My love for you is as warm as a blanket; it will protect you from the misery and pain that engulf the world. I want to be your knight, your protector and provider. I have pledged to guide you through life, support you through all your endeavors. I want you to be in my arms, looking through your eyes and whispering how much I love you❣️.

It sweeps me off my feet, feeds me better than any nourishment. And Oh! I am in love. Who could love me better than my lover? I am indebted to the one who chases me with such compassion. When I was lost, my lover came after me. Without ambition, my lover has given me a purpose, as a Lonely Ghost my lover gave me the HOLY GHOST.

Knowing that we are being loved is the key to our well-being. It offers ineffable sensitivity and an urgent appeal. It creates room for our tiny habits and idiosyncrasies to be tolerated. It helps us feel connected, enhances our self-esteem, and sustains our moods.

That is why I can't keep mute on such a special day. And oh! My lover is none but JESUS.

The world in which we live is fleeting, everyone and everything seems to be on the run. As the Preacher said in Ecclesiastes, we are all chasing after the wind. Yet He (God) has made us His. As imperfect as we are, our God has given us a perfect call; something for which we ought to live; to love one another, just as 1 John 4:7-8 teaches us. 

Let brotherly love continue... don't live like a lonely ghost when Christ has given you the Holy Ghost.
