This Love is not for me๐Ÿ’˜

Love is real, beautiful and a pure emotion. It creates an overwhelming sense of one's identity. When this long-lasting love happens, it's healthy. It doesn't tear you up inside. You can be whole in yourself and fully appreciate another without getting lost or anxious about things that don't matter. Love is indeed a real gem. Yet this love that we expect and hope for seems rare in our generation. And some of the things we call love are not just honest. Some of us are faking it; we're smiling and laughing, acting like it's all right while we're in excruciating emotional pain with the love we signed up for. Some of us fake that because of the induced social pressure. Of course, intellectually, we all know that our real lives and our highly curated online self are very different. The grass really, really isn't greener.

In life, we all have what's made for us. There are a lot of seemingly good things out there, but not every good thing belongs to us. The sooner we get to understand this, the better it will be for us, this is freedom, let's live it. The principle of Focus teaches us to keep the main thing, the main thing. Looking at something that is not part of your future can make you like it and accept it in your present. Love can deceive a person and get them caught up in something that's all wrong. Love can twist a person into doing a lot of things, including staying in a relationship that doesn't work for them.

Months back, I met a lady on a bus. Coincidentally, we were on the same assignment. So we started talking, and she ended up sharing things that are happening in her relationship with me; all the abuses, cheats and a whole lot more that could cost this innocent lady her health and life. I saw a devastated emotional soul hidden inside her beautiful black skin. Moved with sympathy for her, I asked, 'So what are you going to do now? 'Her answer just struck me to complete silence. She said, 'Well, I'm going to stay, maybe things will change. After all, it's better to repair than to start a whole new one, because all guys are the same. '. Up to date, she may not understand why I was utterly silent for the rest of our journey.

This is it - some of the love we cry and yearn for is not for us. I mean, not at all. Can't we see how we stress ourselves to make it work, and still don't see a change. There are times to quit is the best and only way to be free. I am not downplaying the significance of working things out but don't keep chasing the wind. Losing is maturity, sometimes.

Give up on anyone who makes it seem that you are not worthy of their love and respect. It doesn't mean that you love them less. You chose to love them from afar. Loving someone doesn't mean you have to be together. In fact, a lot of relationships throughout a person's lifetime help them learn about themselves and their needs until they're ready to get along with the right person when they meet up. How much you love the other person don't have anything to do with protecting and guarding yourself. You have to find a way to love you too.

Every relationship must make you feel lovable. No relationship  should make it hard for you to love yourself, that means you're draining your precious emotional reserves – the reserves you need to reinvest in yourself. What at all is a relationship when it can't teach you to be a better investment of ourselves?

Allow me to give you a reasonable, virtual shake. You are worthy of the right kind of love, the love built and founded on Godly principles. You are not an alternative and don't give someone the platform to treat you as such. Keep yourself for the right person and don't be afraid to say 'No' where it matters.
If someone isn't demonstrating the love you need, then you might be better off going alone. Shalom!
