Wisdom Is The Principal Thing!

"Where there is no counsel, people fail, but in the abundance of counselors there is Safety". Says the wise man in Proverbs 11:14. The words you are about reading are inspired words which was written to us (young people) by a trusted adviser, a youth pastor, a father and a mentor, to guide us on our path to absolute purity. We hope it blesses you as you take your time to read.

DID YOU KNOW?
"No other sin clearly affects the human body as sexual sin does. Child of God, sexual sin is sin against your own body which is God's temple (Read: 1 Cor. 6:18-20). Bear in mind that each time you fornicate or commit adultery, you inevitably lose your unique identity and individuality. And such a soul becomes scattered among all the wounded, dysfunctional and devious people you and your sexual partners have had sex with."

BEWARE OF SEXUAL SINS!
"Sexual sin can transform your God ordained destiny from best to worst, and someone with a cursed destiny can tap into your glorious destiny through sex. Immorality is a dangerous sin. Don't joke with it! Remember, it was immorality that made Reuben lose his birthright and the sin wrecked the life of Judah  for several generations (Read Genesis 49:3-4)."

UNMARRIED, FLEE SEXUAL SINS!
"Sex is a gift from God to create a strong, lasting, spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical bond between mature adults (i.e., husband and wife). Sex was created by God to be engaged productively (i.e., for childbirth) and enjoyed wisely (as a medium of pleasure) in marriage. Sex is a sacred activity not only among humans but more importantly in the sight of God. Hence, it is illogic to view sex as just an act meant for pleasure. Therefore, flee from sexual lusts or temptations and stay pure! As an unmarried person, your abstinence from engaging in sexual acts before marriage will enable you to develop self-control and to develop the character needed for a healthy marriage (and for life in general)."

DARE TO BE DIFFERENT!
"Don't live your entire life as a complete stranger to yourself. Because if you don't distinguish between what to imitate from others from what you must not cultivate (such as, attitudes and behaviours) you'll soon whittle away. As a child of God you must know God's purpose for your life and that will enable you to know what virtues to cultivate. Essentially, we ought to learn and cultivate the good we see in others, but in so doing we must not lose our original selves. Sadly, one of the most frustrating experience in life is to live it trying to be someone else  or following the mass without thinking."

BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT!
"What you are full of is what unavoidably controls your actions. In fact, your actions are largely necessitated by what your mind is enticed with and your heart is engrossed in. So,  what are you full of? Paul the Apostle exhorts in Ephesians 5:18b '...but be filled with the Spirit' KJV. I charge you today to consciously develop an unrelenting hunger and thirst for righteousness. Your 'hunger' and 'thirst' for right living as a Christian are your sure proves of spiritual existence (or consciousness); otherwise, you're living but dead! The Holy Spirit in you will enable you to manifest the fruit of the spirit, not deeds of the flesh."

THE COMPANY YOU KEEP!
For most people, the company they keep is not beneficial. As a Christian you must choose your friends or relationships wisely! Intentionally invest into good relationships. The express medium to associate with 'true friends' is to be one. "The godly give advice to their friends, but the wicked lead them astray" Proverbs 12:26 NLT. Remember, not everyone has a right to speak into your life. I dare say, your friends will either stretch your vision or choke your aspirations. The prudent is one who consciously fortifies his life with the right relationships.
